If you're looking for a bright (non neon-y though) pink lipstick that's REALLY matte,
NARS Carthage could be the lipstick for you. This is my first tube from
NARS'
Pure Matte line, and I must say that it really deserves the name. It's so matte that it could be a little drying on my lips.
Carthage is an awesome color to wear, regardless of the season. It's a medium fuchsia shade, almost the same hue as
Girl About Town on me. It's really long wearing and pigmented.

PROS: long wearing, matte, pigmented, packaging is sleek and easy to tote around, color is gorgeous
CONS: almost drying so I suggest a balm before applying it, quite pricey with a little less product compared to their semi-matte lipsticks (which are cheaper, btw)
VERDICT:
I will repurchase when I don't find something better.

I've never tried nars lipsticks before. Does it smell good? Cause im a bit sensitive with the smell of lipsticks :)
ReplyDeleteIt smells fine :) The lipsticks that are quite scented (for me at least) are Milani and Make Up For Ever, though I think the latter is more tolerable :)

ReplyDeleteIt would really depend on the color intensity that you prefer, but out of those 3, I would say MAC Girl About Town is the best.
DeleteIts one of those shades that everyone should have. Those 3 are pretty long wearing, but I just love how GAT feathers off as a nice pink stain after hours of wear. And it's more affordable than NARS' lipsticks! :)
