OOTD: It's A for Ayzee

As I've said in my Great Northern Sale 2014 post, I will be posting OOTDs that will feature the items I got during the sale. So for my first post, I wore one of the Uniqlo tops I bought.

I especially loved this shirt because it's loose and easy to wear with almost anything, and of course because of the letter A print. ;)

I paired it with this school girl-inspired skirt and low-cut black boots to keep it comfortable and edgy at the same time. You guys know I'm not a big fan of heels, right?

I also wanted to point out that a print-on-print ensemble doesn't necessarily mean "busy" or "overwhelming". You just have to make sure that the prints aren't competing with each other; one should be bolder or busier than the other. It also wouldn't hurt if they have similar color(s).

Now who says plus size girls can't rock cute ready-to-wear edgy pieces, hmm?

Outfit Of The Day: Buckle It Up With Gold

It was my nephew's baptism and of course, I'm a godmother.
I wanted to wear something popping and colorful with my usual black blazer, tights, and wedges, so I chose this bright salmon (pink orange) a-line dress that I paired with this fabulous belt with gold buckle.

I really like wearing belts in the narrowest part of my mid section because it compliments my curves. ;)

Outfit Of The Day: Dark Hue Of Florals

It's not just a movie date night, it is the "Dark Knight" movie date night!

In lieu with the movie we planned to watch, I wanted to wear something a little darker but still girly.

The photos taken in the SM Mall Of Asia parking were taken past 12 midnight,
so I'm sorry for looking haggard. LOL

Thanks Jeff for taking my photos. <3

Outfit Of The Day: Lazy Saturday

It was a Saturday, and it was all about socializing. I've been itching for a spa day, so I went to Beauty and Butter in SM Mall Of Asia. Then I met up with my girlfran, Carol, around lunchtime and we did some shopping and ate some Hong Kong-inspired food. We hung out until 4:00pm, and then I had to go to the Kroketten event. It was quite fun because I got to spend time with my blogger friends and was able to meet new people. Anyway, it was a lazy day for me so I just wore something comfortable. :)

Outfit Of the Day: Minty Dots and Neutrals

For a change, I wore an outfit that didn't include tights or boots. I was feeling a little whimsical that day, probably because its Father's Day.

I really like this skirt that I got from SM Girls Teens' Wear. It was straight off the runways of Philippine Fashion Week. It looks a little intimidating at first, a piece not everyone would get or dare wear. But of course, that just added more charms to it for me. :)

What I wore:

Skirt - SM Girls Teens' Wear
Cardigan - Landmark
Ribbed v-neck top - Debenhams
Tube top - Bazaar
Belt - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - People Are People
Necklace - SM Accessories

Outfit Of The Day: My Heart Is Yours

Red and black is such a nice color combination. The warm, powerful red paired with the dark, mysterious black just oozes sexiness. Even with the simplest cuts and styles, with this power duo, you're all set.

Outfit Of The Day: Color Blocking with the Stars

"There wouldn't be a sky full of stars if we were all meant to wish on the same one." - Frances Clark

I got a callback for a position that I applied for. Since it was a Friday, I thought I could wear something a little more casual but still put together. I rarely wear jeans because they're too constricting, so my usual tights+skirt is the way to go. I love the fact that I came up with a good mix of texture, color, and style.

Who said big girls can't wear bondage skirts in a loud color or a tiered white top, huh?

Outfit Of The Day: Chilipina In Hong Kong

If there's such a thing as a "Chilipina Outfit", this would be it. I'm not exactly the feminine type who loves ruffles and frills. If its not comfortable, I won't wear it (I don't/can't wear heels UNLESS necessary). I've always had this affinity with J-Pop and K-Pop inspired outfits: boots, tights, mini skirt, cute shirts, and blazers. Good thing it was pretty cold in Hong Kong so I finally got to wear everything that I can't in the Philippines.

Who said big girls can't be chic in cold weather?

P.S. I was do bummed I couldn't curl my hair that day. >__<

Outfit Of The Day: Little Yellow Dress

These past few days, I've been quite stressed out with work. I was feeling a little too gloomy, so I decided to wear something bright.

It's a yellow (mustard-y) A-line shift dress with a bow beneath the bust line, worn under a black "boyfriend" blazer.Since this a "dressy" dress, I thought opaque tights and sky-high chunky heels are just appropriate. :)

Forever 21 Mini Haul - Earrings and Aviators

FINALLY! After a little over a month, I have a new fashion post - and it's a Forever 21 mini haul! :)

I was supposed to go to the beach this weekend with my friends, but because of this important career-related commitment, I had to pass. >__<

So what did I do? I went to the place I have a love / hate relationship with: Makati. I enjoy being there because of the malls and restaurants, but I hate travelling (commuting, especially) to and from that city. Ang hassle!!!

Anyway, I met up with my close friend, Karen. While she was having her hair done, I browsed one of the places that makes me weak: Forever 21.I was only supposed to browse (yeah right! LOL), but when I saw these gems, I couldn't help it! They're sooo cute!

This reminds me of those colorful mini boats in Boracay

Aviators - because summer is just around the corner!
205php (on yellow tag sale)

I love Forever 21 - from their dresses, skirts, accessories to shoes! I also love, love, love their yellow tag deals!!

TIP: Go there around after-lunch. During this time, fresh stocks should be displayed for everyone to devour. Also, it is wise to shop there alone (or with someone who enjoys shopping, too) because there's no sitting area available (which should be dedicated for boyfriends, brothers, fathers, husbands, and kids).
