If Ever

I always thought I'll be married once I turn 22; but due to unforeseen changes and circumstances, I'm 25 and still single. Don't get me wrong, I'm quite glad I still am. There are a lot of things I won't be able to do if I'm married by now. I know how much my parents sacrificed for us (me and my siblings) to have a great future. They are my heroes, and I would want to exceed (or at least match) what they gave to us once I start my own family.

Not to sound cynical, but considering everything that happened (and are happening) in my personal life, I don't think I'll be getting married. I've accepted the possibility of living alone. Let me just emphasize: alone, not lonely. :) I've been jotting down my to-do list (or bucket list) so that I have something to look forward to in the years to come. I've shrugged off the idea of me having a family (or just being a mom)...

until I met them: my favorite daddy and son in my whole wide world. :)

Hey y'all, meet my favorite baby boy: Kyan. :)

My favorite baby boy, Kyan! <3
Rex and Kyan

If ever I'll have a son, I hope he's just as cute, sweet, and as adorable as Kyan;
and I hope my son's dad is as sweet, caring, and as loving as Rex is to Kyan.

If Ever.

  14. hey you're still so young to conclude you won't be getting married! I believe you are just experiencing the 25-year old syndrome which i felt too at that age which caused me anxiety and almost married (twice! runaway bride hehe)the one who was available. glad i waited for my prince whom i met when i was 33! i am not married till now, but in a wonderful relationship for almost 5 years and looking forward to that day i would marry the one i truly love and respect!

  16. I used to think of it when I was in college. When I was 18, I wanted to get married by 21. When I turned 21, I want to get married by 25, until I got married at 30. XD

  17. Cute little boy :-) I'm 28, single, and happy. I believe happiness is a choice whether we're in a relationship or not. And if you're destined to be married, you'll meet your prince in God's perfect time. :-)
