Outfit Of The Day: Lazy Saturday

It was a Saturday, and it was all about socializing. I've been itching for a spa day, so I went to Beauty and Butter in SM Mall Of Asia. Then I met up with my girlfran, Carol, around lunchtime and we did some shopping and ate some Hong Kong-inspired food. We hung out until 4:00pm, and then I had to go to the Kroketten event. It was quite fun because I got to spend time with my blogger friends and was able to meet new people. Anyway, it was a lazy day for me so I just wore something comfortable. :)

Outfit Of The Day: Where Are You, Dorothy?

It was my Aunt's birthday. In our family, when someone celebrates his/her birthday, you have to wear something red. I don't have a "proper" red dress, so I just wore a few reds here and there. The highlight of my outfit? Red shoes. :) When I hear red shoes, the first thing that comes to mind is Dorothy of Wizard of Oz. So this is my own interpretation of Dorothy. :)

The Inspiration

My Take On It

 What I Wore:

Dress - People Are People
Cardigan - Landmark
Shoes - Bazaar
Socks - Hong Kong

Outfit Of the Day: Minty Dots and Neutrals

For a change, I wore an outfit that didn't include tights or boots. I was feeling a little whimsical that day, probably because its Father's Day.

I really like this skirt that I got from SM Girls Teens' Wear. It was straight off the runways of Philippine Fashion Week. It looks a little intimidating at first, a piece not everyone would get or dare wear. But of course, that just added more charms to it for me. :)

What I wore:

Skirt - SM Girls Teens' Wear
Cardigan - Landmark
Ribbed v-neck top - Debenhams
Tube top - Bazaar
Belt - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - People Are People
Necklace - SM Accessories
Earrings - Forever 21

Po San Company - Hong Kong Souvenir Shop

Planning to go to Hong Kong? Already in Hong Kong and planning to go/visit home? If you're in Kowloon, specifically in the Tsim Sha Tsui area, you don't have to go very far to buy souvenirs for your family and friends.

Po San Company, located in Granville Rd, is a must-go souvenir shop for tourists. They have a wide variety of items about Hong Kong that would be perfect as souvenir (or in Filipino, pasalubong).

I forgot his name :( [candid photo with my mom]
What I love about this shop is that the owner is very friendly and easy to haggle with. He speaks perfect English and knows a few Filipino words, too. His items are also 5-10HKD cheaper compared to the ones in Ladies Market and Mongkok. His humble shop is conveniently located beside a Money Changer so in case you run out of Hong Kong Dollars, you just have to go next door.

So if you're in the area, no need to look further for souvenirs. Po San Company has everything: from t-shirts, keychains, magnets, traditional Chinese fans to baby toys.

Coming from Nathan Road, Po San Company is located on the right side of Granville Road.

Address:
16, Side Door, Granville Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kin, Hong Kong

MAC Chatterbox - Review, Photos, Swatches

MAC Chatterbox is a light pink shade with cool undertones. It's in amplified creme finish. It's quite opaque so its good for girls with pigmented lips. I have to say though, this has a tendency to make me look pale, so I always wear blush or made-up eyes to balance it out.

PROS: creamy finish, opaque, long wearing, color is pretty wearable, great for everyday
CONS: expensive, color may wash you off and make you look pale

VERDICT:

I will repurchase when I don't find something better.

MAC Pink Nouveau - Review, Photos, Swatches

MAC Pink Nouveau is a cool-toned pink. My friends and I refer to this as "Barbie pink" because it resembles the pink lipstick that are used on Barbies. It's in satin finish. It's opaque and long wearing. Its almost perfect, only if it doesn't make me look paler. Its almost similar to Chatterbox, only this shade is more cool toned.

I will repurchase when I don't find something better.
