A Peek At Little India

What do I love most about traveling? Being able to expose and immerse myself in cultures that are so different from what I was brought up in. It's like being a sponge; I try to absorb, understand, and appreciate every little bit of the cultures I am exposed to. I think the best teacher is experience. Tasting different foods, seeing people practice their religion, or just basically how they live their lives; these are the reasons why I love being in a foreign (or unfamiliar) place. :)

PlugDeals.PH - Because It's More Fun In The Philippines

Everybody loves scoring a great deal; whether it's for traveling, food, beauty, technology, and more. For the past years, the craze for discount vouchers and coupons has been proven with all the online coupon buying sites that are popping in the cyber world.

What do I love about these websites? Scoring great deals. You can get anything 50-70% off it's original price. Whether you love traveling, gadgets, beauty services, or a foodie, you will find something that will catch your fancy.

With a considerable number of online coupon buying sites available, what does PlugDeals.PH have that sets them apart from the other sites?

Answer: Partial Payment Option

Oh yes, you read it right. They offer partial payment option to all buyers. They have 30/70 and 50/50 options available. Now buyers don't need to shell out the entire amount just to be assured of scoring a great deal.

Merchants also benefit in this system. Since they will let customers purchase the deal with just 30% of the price while the remaining 70% will be paid directly to them upon redemption of the product or service, they won't have to wait for a long time for the payment remittance from the coupon site.

I love and appreciate the fact that they considered what most of us are concerned about: our finances. Not everyone can shell out 12,000, 6,000 or even just 1,000, even for a well-deserved treat. I also love the idea that they support local small (or budding) businesses and products.

The innovative payment scheme of PlugDeals.PH sets them apart among the other online coupon buying sites. Funny how it took this long for a company like them to come up with this kind of service. It just shows that they truly value their customers and they indeed could do it better.

Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in New York Night - Review, Photos, Swatches

Smoky eyes is the go-to eye makeup for that sexy, fierce, and vixen-y look. But with summer just around the corner, I personally think donning smoked out eyes (in black/grey) is a little..off-the-season? :) But that's just me. Like what I always say, if you wanna rock it, forget the rules! Own it!

But if you consider a summer-appropriate smoky eyes, then this palette from Maybelline could be the right one for you. :)

Shades of  (denim-ish) blue

MX-1 New York Night

These blues are great for the smoky eye look but with a little more color than the usual.
The color payoff is nice and the texture is great. Not chalky at all.
I really love Maybelline palettes because it's perfect for everyone: beginners to pros.
They have a variety of palettes to choose from, so I'm pretty sure you'll find something that will work for you.

PROS: Color payoff and texture are great, sleek and compact packaging, easy to use and blends well together
CONS: I really can't think of any except if you're not into these shades.

VERDICT:

 I will definitely repurchase!

Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in Autumn Spirit - Review, Photos, Swatches

Summer is almost here! It's the perfect time to wear fresh, vibrant colors: from clothes, shoes, accessories to makeup. I've been receiving comments from you my dear readers that most of the products I feature are either not locally available or way over your budget. So i decided to make a series of product reviews that aren't just locally available but are affordable, too (or at least at reasonable prices).

This time, let's focus on the windows of our soul: our eyes.

Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in Autumn Spirit

GD-1 Autumn Spirit

Okay, okay. I know the label says "autumn", so why would we wear it during summer?
The shades are obviously neutrals. For me, neutrals can be worn anytime, any season.
The trick is, you should apply it sparingly.
This was my first (and favorite!) palette from Maybelline.
I love their eye shadow quads because they really work together and it's so easy to use.
They even have directions at the back on how one should apply it. It's great especially for those who are just beginning in applying / experimenting with makeup.

PROS: Nice neutral shades that can be worn all year. Will flatter any skin tones. The color payoff is awesome. They're highly pigmented and the texture is also nice. Not chalky at all.The packaging is compact and it's easy to tote around. It's also locally available.
CONS: I really can't think of any. :)

If Ever

I always thought I'll be married once I turn 22; but due to unforeseen changes and circumstances, I'm 25 and still single. Don't get me wrong, I'm quite glad I still am. There are a lot of things I won't be able to do if I'm married by now. I know how much my parents sacrificed for us (me and my siblings) to have a great future. They are my heroes, and I would want to exceed (or at least match) what they gave to us once I start my own family.

Not to sound cynical, but considering everything that happened (and are happening) in my personal life, I don't think I'll be getting married. I've accepted the possibility of living alone. Let me just emphasize: alone, not lonely. :) I've been jotting down my to-do list (or bucket list) so that I have something to look forward to in the years to come. I've shrugged off the idea of me having a family (or just being a mom)...

until I met them: my favorite daddy and son in my whole wide world. :)

Hey y'all, meet my favorite baby boy: Kyan. :)

If ever I'll have a son, I hope he's just as cute, sweet, and as adorable as Kyan;
and I hope my son's dad is as sweet, caring, and as loving as Rex is to Kyan.

If Ever.

Illamasqua Lipsticks Haul - Over and Scandal

I've been stumbling upon a lot of good reviews about the makeup brand, Illamasqua; particularly, their matte lipsticks. I got the chance to order online at Sephora and purchased 2 intriguing shades: Scandal and Over. Both of them are from the coral shade family with different undertones. Scandal is more of a pink, salmony coral while Over is more on the orange side.

Please watch out for my individual reviews on these lipsticks. :)
