SM City Lipa - Flores De Mayo 2013 Celebration

It was a day of elegance for teen models and flower girls when SM City Lipa paraded beauties during Flores de Mayo celebration last May 31, 2013. The teen models and flower girls who paraded SM City Lipa wore gown creations by Mikaelah Michelle of Mikaelah Michelle, Maricel Hernandez – Borbon of Janine and Ycel Touch of Fashions, and Janet Bancoro of  Renquist Gowns and Costumes.

Also joining the flower girls are SM Little Stars 2011 First Runner Up Kate Gellian Vinas and SM Little Stars  Grand Winner  Aliah Franzin Navarro.

Summer at SM City Lipa ended with a bang with the finest creations of Lipeño designers who joined this year’s Flores de Mayo celebration that started 4 o’clock  in the afternoon which concluded at The Event Center.

It was indeed a celebration of beauty and elegance at the Flores de Mayo held at SM City Lipa!

Nailed It + Review: OMG Oh My Golly Crystal Sand Nail Polish in Opal

Hey lovelies! :)

Here is my nails for the week! This nail polish is part of my recent haul wherein I hoarded lots of OMG nail polishes. This is one of their fancier polishes (glittered), hence it's a little more pricey.

OMG Oh My Golly Crystal Sand Nail Polish in Opal is a deep purple, almost eggplant-like color, with glitters. I had some difficulty in applying this one compared to their normal nail polishes. Uneven coating and the hassle of retouching are my main issues with this one. After one coat, I have to wait for it to totally dry up before I can reapply or else the 1st coat will be ruined. The glitters also made it harder to clean up the edges. I couldn't give up on this one because its such a pretty color, so after fail attempts, I finally got it right. Well, at least it's decent enough to be shown to the world. Hahaha!

OMG Oh My Golly Crystal Sand Nail Polish in Opal 

PROS: beautiful color, very festive, buildable opacity, doesn't chip as quickly, very affordable, locally available

CONS: a little messy, tricky to achieve an even coat, a little time consuming

VERDICT:

 I will repurchase when I don't find something better.

Italia Deluxe 24 Hours Stay On Lipgloss in 03 Pink - Review, Photos,Swatches

Italia Deluxe Stay On Lipgloss in 03 Pink is a medium toned pink, almost similar to MAC Moxie, but closer to NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo. Just like the latter, this applies like a liquid lipstick and dries out matte. I really love how wearable this shade is. It's not too bright nor too dull. I'm sure it'll compliment a lot of skin tones.

Just like the shade 01 Red, it's a little uncomfortable once it dries out matte. It won't kiss off (we're talking about a smack here). It has decent hours of wear and survived when I had bento meal for lunch.

Italia Deluxe Stay On Lipgloss in 03 Pink

PROS: beautiful and wearable color, buildable opacity, decent hours of wear, locally available, affordable

CONS: uncomfortable matte formula when it dries, a little tricky to apply

VERDICT:

 I will repurchase when I don't find something better.

BDJBox - June Unboxing

Once you've earned my full trust, my loyalty is with you. I've been applying this principle in my personal life, and with products/services I choose. When I know the quality is superb, rest assured I will be a loyal customer.

BDJBox is my favorite beauty box subscription. They have a great taste when it comes to the products they include each month; that's not surprising given that the ladies behind BDJBox are just some of the respected and looked-up-to beauty gurus in the country.

Anyway, I'm fortunate enough to get my hands on their June box! I heard it's sold out already (yes, they're that loved by my fellow Bellas). As always, awesome products from both new and familiar brands. :)

I also love their stickers that just spreads and encourage positivity and love for self. They always come up with such concepts that celebrate being a woman; makes me so proud to be a Bella. :)

Monea Powerdose in Hair Repair - Review and Photos

Beauty enthusiasts or even those who just love to style their hair is prone to hair damage. Actually, even those who don't use hot tools, are still prone to this nightmare. Did you know that drying your hair with your towel (turban style, or rubbing it on your hair/scalp) causes damage? Even the humid weather and pollution causes damage. With all these laid out, a damage repair treatment is a must for our hair.

Monea Powerdose Hair Repair is my first variant from Monea. I've been using this since last year, and I love how it really softens and repairs my damaged tresses. The scent is a little powerful, almost similar to the ones they use at the salon, but I really don't mind it at all. I would also suggest that you avoid your scalp/root area because using too much of this can weigh your hair down (as all hair treatments). I bought this from Watson's. This one and the purple one  are the common variants in Watson's / SM Store.

Monea Powerdose products are very affordable, and they work just as good as their expensive counterparts. So far, I'm really happy with the 3 variants that I have. :)

Monea Powerdose in Hair Color Protect - Review and Photos

I've been constantly asked on how I care for my hair. A few years back, I experimented with curling irons/wands and flat irons to achieve my signature big curls. My love for gorgeous hairstyles lead me to dyeing them, lighter every time. Now that it's golden blonde, I noticed (and expected) dryness in my hair. I also noticed that my hair color gets dull over time, sooo I went ahead and searched for products that will prevent further damage, and avoid getting a brassy hair color.

I've been loving Monea Powerdose products, especially the Soft & Bouncy and Damage Repair (review up next), so I went ahead and tried this one which will address my hair color issue.

Monea Powerdose Hair Color Protect is a treatment that's specific for colored hair. It aims to protect and maintain the luster of the color. It's consistency is pretty similar to the usual hair conditioner. I really love this variant. It smells like bubblegum and leaves my hair soft, yummy smelling, and gorgeous even the day after. What I love more about it? It's so affordable! I also noticed that my hair color (since dyeing it a month ago) isn't as brassy as I would've expected. I've been using this for almost a month now, FYI.
