Wen Cleansing Conditioner in Pomegranate - Review and Photos

If you've been following my blog for some time now, you'd know how obsessed I am with my hair. I've been coloring my hair for more than 2 years now, with a lighter shade each time. So it's no surprise that my hair is a bit fragile nowadays. I've invested in a lot of hair treatments and products to cure or at least minimize the damage. I did my homework in what ingredients to look out for before using it on my hair and what I should do to avoid more damage.

The scorching heat brought by the weather here in the Philippines is not helping either. It's really hard to adjust my hair routine because it can either cause excess oil (due to potent products) or let it frizz (very mild products). I was a bit confused on what to do, until I got my hands on WEN Cleansing Conditioner.

Unlike most shampoos that have harsh detergents and sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates (SLS) which make the hair dry, faded, dull, lifeless and frizzy,WEN Cleansing Conditioner cares for your hair without all the harsh ingredients. This revolutionary hair product was created by Chaz Dean (a celebrity-stylist based in the USA) in cooperation with Guthy Renker (makers of Proactiv Solution). They worked together to formulate this new concept in hair cleansing, which is a 5-in-1 formula; this one product takes the place of your shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler and leave-in conditioner.

What do I love about WEN Cleansing Conditioner?

It makes my life easier. No, really, it does. I have really long and thick hair, so shampooing and conditioning my hair takes a lot of time. It shortens my bath time which makes my morning routine easier.

It cleanses my hair thoroughly but without lathering and without all the harsh ingredients that may be found in ordinary shampoos so my hair is left with sheen, softness, manageability and better color retention. I usually avoid applying conditioner on my scalp area because that leaves my scalp oily, but with WEN, it doesn't leave my scalp oily or hair greasy, leaving my hair with just the right volume.

I also love the subtle pomegranate scent. It's not too overpowering. The scent doesn't really last all day, but it doesn't make my hair smell awful at the end of the day.

What do I not love about WEN Cleansing Conditioner?

It's expensive. Hahaha! It retails for P995 (350ml). I also wish it's a bit more moisturizing, but that's just because my hair is really, really dry. If your hair isn't as damaged as mine, it'll work for you just fine.

Just in case you're wondering, here are the key ingredients of WEN Cleansing Conditioner in Pomegranate:

incredibly hydrating.
