Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick in Fuchsia Fever is seriously one of my favorite drugstore lipsticks. It's a bright pink with slight cool undertones to it, making it a perfect Barbie pink shade.
It's color payoff is awesome. Very opaque, creamy, and moisturizes your lips
It has a decent hours of wear to it, and leaves a cute pink stain on your lips when it feathers off.
Its part of the permanent range but its one of those shades they usually run out of because its quite popular.
It has a certain taste to it, but nothing overwhelming.

PROS: awesome color, creamy, won't dry out your lips, opaque, affordable, locally available

CONS: subtle taste to it but I personally don't mind it all. May need a lip primer to help in the hours of wear

VERDICT:

 I will definitely repurchase!

NARS Schiap is a bright fuchsia pink lipstick, almost neon, in a semi-matte formula. I love how creamy it is when applied, making it easy for our lips, but dries out matte. Its not drying at all! It's pretty long wearing also. The color is bright and fun that will lighten up anyone's face. I think this is a friendly type of pink that may work for most skin tones.

PROS: Formula is perfect! Matte but not drying, easy to apply, color is opaque, long wearing, no distinct taste or smell, locally available and included in the permanent line, contains more product than MAC
CONS: Expensive, which I think is just right since it contains more product than other(or some) lipsticks

VERDICT:

 I will definitely repurchase!

You are not a certified MAC girl if you haven't heard of Candy Yum Yum.

MAC Candy Yum Yum was first released in the MAC Quite Cute Collection. It caused such a huge buzz and craze that it was literally sold out within minutes! Now why did it cause the said hype?

Its a bright, as in neon, pink lipstick in matte finish; its the ultimate Barbie pink lipstick. It has a hint of purple undertones, but the pink is still dominant. Its also opaque and long wearing. 

MAC did a survey of which colors do MAC fans would love to be reproduced / re-promoted, and of course, Candy Yum Yum bagged the most votes. So this month, it will be launched in the MAC By Request Collection. Hopefully, enough stock will reach Philippine shores., though we have to wait for maybe a month or 2 for that.

I'm sorry for this rather unprepared post. It's been raining like crazy outside so I couldn't shoot anything in our balcony.

Candy Yum Yum is now a part of the permanent colors. It is usually available, but there are days its "out of stock". I believe you can only purchase this on MAC's website.

PROS: its a fun, bold color, its in matte finish but not really drying, its opaque and long wearing

CONS: Nothing. Maybe just the fact that you might have to kill over it because everyone loves it!

VERDICT:

 I will definitely repurchase!

This lipstick is probably the best MAC Candy Yum Yum dupe I've encountered, and is also one of my current favorite drugstore pink lipsticks.

Barry M is a UK-based brand that offers a wide variety of makeup products, in a quality that's at par with high-end brands, without the high-end price. 

This particular shade, LP 52, is one of the best dupes for MAC Candy Yum Yum that I've seen so far. Matte (without overtly drying), opaque, and highly pigmented. I believe this came out first before CYY. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

PROS: matte (without drying), opaque, highly pigmented, affordable, shade is pretty close to Candy Yum Yum

CONS: only available online (EBAY, online stores)

VERDICT: 5 out of 5 CHILIS! Though it's not available in our local department store / drugstore, its pretty easy to find this online.

CANDY YUM YUM! If you're a real MAC (or any kind of lipstick) addict, you should know what Candy Yum Yum is.

The famous Candy Yum Yum caused a huge craze last 2011. It was sold out a  few hours after it was released here in Manila. Everyone who failed to get a tube was bummed. So what did we do? We scoured the world of makeup to find a dupe.

There are a lot of good dupes for CYY, one of which is one my current favorite drugstore pink lipsticks:

I prefer bright colors in matte finish. I just think matte looks more polished and sophisticated than glossy neon shades; that's why I love Addis Ababa.


PROS: nice matte formula, shade is a good dupe for MAC Candy Yum Yum, affordable
CONS: for people who have problems with "double dipping", the fact that you have to use a wand would be an issue

 
VERDICT: 5 out of 5 CHILIS! The only possible issue in this product is the wand. Since it doesn't bother me at all, for me it's perfect. :)
