Hair Styling Products | Signature, Heatless Curls And New Hair Color

I grew up sporting really short hair. I was always getting a haircut every month because new haircuts excite me (though some of those cuts ended up as a disaster). It was also practical for me since I always like sleeping a little longer in the morning. Who doesn't love those extra minutes of snooze?!

It was only in 2009 when I was about to graduate college when I started to grow my hair out. When I met Dyms in 2010, I really got inspired to grow it as long as I could so I can style it any way I want. :)

Back to the present, I stopped getting my hair rebonded and finally embraced my natural waves and just go nuts with hair color. I'm currently rocking "Roseo Red" hair color, care of my parlorista neighbor. Haha! :)

Freshly retouched red hair (latest color)

I'm always asked on how I style my hair. Before, I always rely on my trusted Babyliss Curling Iron and heat-protectant spray to achieve my signature curls. (I still use it every now and then especially when I'm going out.)

But when I finally left the BPO industry and lived a normal (dayshift!) life, I no longer have the time to style my hair every morning. Plus, the regular exposure to hot tools will damage my already-fragile hair.

So what do I do? Heatless curls, baby!

What do I use to achieve heatless curls?

Fantasy Party Volume Curling Cream
I use Fantasy Party Volume Curling Cream. It creates natural waves without the crunchy factor that some mousse gives. It holds the curls for a long time too. This is my go-to hair curling cream. It's my favorite and I use it almost everyday. And did I mention it smells really good, too? :)

Snoe Hair Heroes Super Fresh Texturizing Spray
I also use Snoe Hair Heroes Super Fresh Texturizing Spray to achieve the perfect beach waves hair. My only woe about this product is that it dries my hair out (probably because of the sea salt ingredient). I rarely use this because of that.

Richenna Volume Up Magic
When I feel like my hair feels a little limp and flat, I spray some Richenna Volume Up Magic. It works well for both straight hair and curls.

So these are what I'm currently using to style my hair. Wanna know what hair care products I'm currently into? Check this out. :)

Snoe Skin SPF30 Stem Cell Sunblock Cream - Review and Photos

I think you girls know by now how much I love Snoe Beauty, right? :)
I've been raving about their products for a while now, and this one ain't an exception.

Snoe Skin SPF 30 Stem Cell Sunblock Cream is an age-defying product. It promotes skin regeneration and protects further damage caused by the sun's harmful UV rays. I also love this product because aside from protecting me from the sun, it also helps in soothing and concealing the red blotches on my skin.
It serves as my sunblock and makeup base, and for its price, I think that's quite a steal.

I suggest that you use this sparingly if you're going to apply foundation over it, or else your face will look too made up. I make sure its blended out on my skin (untraceable) before I apply my foundation over it.

It doesn't irritate my skin at all. I also noticed that it helps in minimizing the oiliness of my face, together with their mattifying toner. :)

PROS: sunblock that also serves as makeup base (or even as tinted moisturizer), doesn't irritate my skin, a little goes a long way, easy to tote around, very affordable, locally available
CONS: I can't think of any! :)

VERDICT:

 I will definitely repurchase!

Snoe Shoo-Zit Don't Bother Me Mattifying Acne Toner - Review and Photos

My oily skin has always been a problem of mine. It makes me more vulnerable to acne and uneven skin tones because of the blemishes left after. My oily skin doesn't help in keeping my makeup in tact either. Because of the excess oil and the humidity in this tropical country, I'm always in search of skin care products and makeup that will help in mattifying my skin, thus improve my makeup's hours of wear.

I was browsing the beauty section in Landmark Trinoma when I saw Snoe's counter.
It was my first time then to see this brand. I was automatically drawn to this toner because of the name.
The ladies behind the counter explained to me how this toner works. Actually, I was aking a lot of questions about a lot of their products and they're quite accommodating and patient in helping me. :)

I bought this toner, and it sparked my love for Snoe products. :)
I first tried Snoe Shoo-Zit Don't Bother Me Mattifying Acne Toner that night, and just like what Jessica told me, my skin will feel a little stretched (nothing dramatic or uncomfortable, FYI). You will also need to shake this well before using to ensure the powder-like ingredient will mix well with the liquid part.
That powder-like ingredient helps in keeping the skin matte.
I always use this whenever I have to put on makeup, and together with my other favorite products, it helps a lot in improving and keeping my makeup fresh. It doesn't dry out my skin and its non-irritating.
I also love the subtle coconut scent to it. :)

PROS: Helps in keeping my skin matte and makeup fresh, lovely coconut scent, doesn't irritate my skin, locally available
CONS: the scent may bother you if you prefer your skin regimen and makeup unscented, a little pricey

VERDICT

I will repurchase when I don't find something better.

Snoe Hair Heroes Intense Argan Oil - Review and Photos

If you've been following my blog (hopefully! please? ^_^), you'd know I've recently had my hair dyed.
I went from the natural-looking golden brown to a head-turning natural blonde. (More about that here)
Everyone knows that once your hair is bleached, it's more vulnerable to breakage and damage.
I didn't sit through hours of inhaling bleach while its being absorbed by my hair and just take my tresses for granted, so I went out and looked for a good hair treatment for my now blonde hair.
Thankfully, my new favorite brand has one. :)

Snoe Hair Heroes Intense Argan Oil has been caring for my hair ever since I had it bleached.
It's been saving my hair from split ends and further damage. I really love this product because while it moisturizes and repairs my hair, it doesn't feel heavy or oily on my hair. It's not weighing my hair down.
I also love the subtle scent it has. I use it daily since I can't shampoo my hair regularly to maintain the vibrancy of my hair color. I was also informed that this can be used as a shaving cream, but I haven't tried that one yet. So far, my hair just loves this awesomness in a bottle, so I love it too! :)

Snoe Hair Heroes Intense Argan Oil

PROS: Works really well with my bleached hair, doesn't weigh my hair down, scent is very subtle, ease of use with the pump, locally available
CONS: A little pricey, but with its performance, totally worth it

VERDICT:
 I will definitely repurchase!

Beauty Haul: Snoe Beauty Products

I super love the first 2 Snoe Beauty products I got, so I tried other products from them when they had a booth in SM North EDSA Skydome during the Breast Cancer Awareness event.

I bought a whitening bar (also helps in curing minimal pimples, Rouge Deluxe in Heavenly Pink and their Poudre Extraordinaire in the lightest shade. I really love the smell of their products! And how cute is the packaging, right? :)

Snoe Beauty Rouge Deluxe in Precious Pout - Review, Photos, Swatches

I learned about Snoe Beauty during the Cosmetics Sale in Landmark Trinoma. Their display easily attracted me because of the cute packaging. The ladies behind the counter were really helpful and patient when explaining products to me. My first purchase was their mattifying toner (which I'll be posting a review about soon), and now I'm such a fan. :)

Snoe Beauty Rouge Deluxe in Precious Pout is a creamy lipstick with good color pay-off. The color is buildable so you can wear it as sheer or as opaque as you want. Precious Pout is a coral pink shade with warm undertones. It reminds me of MAC Crosswires without the subtle gold shimmer. What I like most about it is while it is such a pretty lip color to wear, it also cares for my lips as well. It also has decent hours of wear. It does have a subtle scent, like coconut or a certain fruit. It's not overwhelming though. It actually smells good.
