What's my favorite cupcake flavor? Red Velvet! Not too sweet but definitely not bland.
Speaking of Red Velvet, I recently purchased Lime Crime Velvetines from Pretty Goddess. I've already posted my review on Suedeberry. Now let me share with you my take on Red Velvet.
Lime Crime Veletines in Red Velvet is a gorgeous deep red with blue undertones. It's one of the most beautiful, perfect reds in my opinion. The photos I took don't do justice on how beautiful this shade is.
It's opacity is pretty good, slightly better than Sudeberry's (probably because this shade is darker so imperfect streaks are harder to see). I only had to dip the wand once to be able to cover my lips.
Given that it has a pure matte finish, it's quite long wearing. It feels a little drying, but I'd rather have that over a formula that slips and slides. It has a light cucpake-y scent and taste which I'm totally fine with.
Lime Crime Velvetines are cruelty-free, so I really didn't mind it's slightly expensive price.
Lime Crime Veletines in Red Velvet
PROS: beautiful shade of red, matte formula, opacity is good, long wearing, cruelty-free
CONS: needs the wand (hygiene issues with "double dipping"), a little too matte (drying), might be bothersome to those who don't like any scent/taste, expensive, hard to find
VERDICT:
I will definitely repurchase!

ReplyDeleteP.S. Thank you for the support <3
nice, it's a really pretty bright red ^_^
ReplyDeleteCloser to Riri Woo, but I think it's most similar to Russian Red. It's a deep red, a little darker than Ruby Woo. It's surprisingly more opaque than MAC lipsticks. :)
ReplyDeleteI love how the color complements your skin tone :) Sexy and Sultry Vampy red lips :)
