I have an oily/combination skin, so a mattifying finishing powder is necessary to prevent my foundation from sliding.
I've read and heard a lot of rave reviews about Ben Nye powders. The Banana powder is the most popular I think, but since I prefer something translucent, I chose this Neutral Colorless powder.
Ben Nye Neutral Set Colorless Face Powder is translucent finishing powder that'll mattify your face. I really love how finely milled this powder is. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin and true to it's name, it doesn't leave any trace when applied.
But does it help in mattifying my face? Like any powders I've tried, it helped for a short while. An oil blotting paper is still necessary for my T-zone after an hour.
Does it help in making my foundation last longer? Not exactly. I guess my skin is way too much for this powder. Lol. But I still use it though since it doesn't irritate my skin nor feels heavy. I like it, but it obviously didn't live up to the hype
PROS: it's translucent, very fine texture, doesn't feel heavy on my skin, it didn't cause any irritation, easy to use because of the holes
