I'm really loving mint green color for spring/summer. It's very cool in the eyes and is not as predictable as the usual bright colors.

After donning dark nail polishes, I finally gave in and tried this beautiful shade.

OMG Oh My Golly Nail Color in Mojito is a lovely medium minty green color. This is my first light nail polish from OMG. I had a little problem in making the streaks less obvious. I had to apply 2-3 coats to get the opacity that I want. As far as chipping, I didn't have any issues about that with OMG nail polishes. They don't leave any yellow stain on my nails, and don't leave my nails brittle.

PROS: a very beautiful shade of green, didn't chip, locally available, very affordable

CONS: 2-3 coats to reach my preferred opacity


VERDICT:

  I will definitely repurchase!

Hey lovelies! :)

Here is my nails for the week! This nail polish is part of my recent haul wherein I hoarded lots of OMG nail polishes. This is one of their fancier polishes (glittered), hence it's a little more pricey.

OMG Oh My Golly Crystal Sand Nail Polish in Opal is a deep purple, almost eggplant-like color, with glitters. I had some difficulty in applying this one compared to their normal nail polishes. Uneven coating and the hassle of retouching are my main issues with this one. After one coat, I have to wait for it to totally dry up before I can reapply or else the 1st coat will be ruined. The glitters also made it harder to clean up the edges. I couldn't give up on this one because its such a pretty color, so after fail attempts, I finally got it right. Well, at least it's decent enough to be shown to the world. Hahaha!

OMG Oh My Golly Crystal Sand Nail Polish in Opal 

PROS: beautiful color, very festive, buildable opacity, doesn't chip as quickly, very affordable, locally available

CONS: a little messy, tricky to achieve an even coat, a little time consuming

VERDICT:

 I will repurchase when I don't find something better.

Summer is definitely over! Here comes the cool and rainy weather! My boots and tights can come out now! I love this weather, can't you tell? ;)

 I've been following Aya's blog, and her nail arts and posts really got me into doing my own nails again. I've been indulging in nail salons for almost a decade now, and I think it's time I re-learn to do it myself because hey, manicures and pedicures can get quite expensive.

Anyway, in line with this season, I've been loving dark and vampy nail colors. Plus, they're almost mistake-proof because all I need to do is layer them up. Streaks won't be as noticeable! Hahaha!

So here's my work. Please be forgiving, I haven't done this for a long time. Oh and take note, I didn't apply any base or top coat here. I just applied the polish in 3 coats.

OMG Oh My Golly Nail Color in Bahama Blue

This is OMG Oh My Golly Nail Color in Bahama Blue. It's a midnight blue, shiny but no shimmer and almost black. I love it! Can I just say that this brand impressed me! And with the price, you really can't complain. This nail color line is by the brand Klik.

PROS: has decent opacity, color is gorgeous, very affordable, locally available

CONS: minimal chipping after 3 days

VERDICT:

  I will definitely repurchase!
