I'm all about Japanese makeup. I love how innovative they are with the products they come up with, and how these products really keep their promise. But what I love most about them? They work perfectly for my skin type and color.

I was so happy when Majolica Majorca finally reached our shores. They're not exactly cheap (price-wise), so I was a little apprehensive to try them. Anyway, I've been using this foundation (together with their primer) for months now, and here is my review.

Majolica Majorca Skin Remaker Pore Cover is a powder foundation that works for both skin types, though I think it works better for oily/combination skin. My shade is BO10. Its velvety smooth, finely milled powder blends perfectly on my skin, even more when I use it with their primer. I especially love the glamorous and luxurious packaging. The formula worked for me because it kept my oil at bay, and minimized my pores a little (together with the primer). It didn't irritate my skin nor caused zits. I use the sponge that comes with it because I feel that the coverage it gives is better that way. It didn't have a distinct scent also.

• Minimizes the appearance of my pores (with the primer)
• Didn't cause any irritation
• Locally available

CONS:

• Pricey
• Limited shades (I think they have 3 or 4?)
• It'll work better when a primer is used underneath

VERDICT:

 I might repurchase.

Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie Pore Cover isn't my first face primer, but so far its the best I've tried. Aside from providing a smooth canvas for foundation, it has SPF 20 already. It provides sheer coverage which I love since I tend to look "too red". It also helps in keeping the oil on my face at bay and prevented my foundation from sliding. I don't think it minimizes the appearance of my pores though, but it definitely doesn't make them more apparent. It didn't break me out and it has no distinct smell.

PROS: it has SPF already, enough tint to lessen the redness of my face, didn't break me out, doesn't have smell, easy to tote around

CONS: it doesn't hide big pores like mine


VERDICT:

  I will definitely repurchase!
