Velvetines are liquid lipstick; creamy when applied, dries out matte. It's almost similar to NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, but the former's consistency is less creamy. As a beauty enthusiast and blogger, I had to try them. I have Red Velvet (review to be posted), and Suedeberry.
Lime Crime Velvetines in Suedeberry is a coral / orange type of red. It has warm undertones, and looks a little more girly as compared to red velvet (which looks more foxy). This is a brighter, friendlier type of red, perfect for daytime.
Opacity is okay. Just like any other liquid lipsticks that I've used, I had to apply 2 coats to be able to achieve my type of opacity.
It's pretty long wearing since it's in matte finish. But it's the type of matte that's not the most comfortable. I think you can tell even in my photos since the lines and crevices on my lips are pretty apparent. If you think the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream is drying, Velvetines is a notch or 2 more drying.
It has a distinct sweet taste and smell, like a dessert. It actually reminds me of a cupcake!
Lime Crime Velvetines in Suedeberry

PROS: it's the type of red that's a little more friendly, bright and perfect for daytime, it has decent hours of wear, it has a cupcake-y scent and taste
CONS: opacity is just okay, lip products with wands is not the most hygienic, a little pricey, hard to find
VERDICT:
