Urban Decay Rollergirl Palette - Review, Photos, Swatches

Roller derby - a contact sport played by two teams of five members roller skating in the same direction around a track." (via Wikipedia)

What's the hottest part of roller derby? Rollergirls.  Before, whenever I hear rollergirl, the first image that pops in my head is Foxxy Cleaopatra; the character played by Beyonce Knowles in Austin Powers in Gold Member (2002).

Today, the only rollergirl that I think of is the Urban Decay Rollergirl Palette.

The Urban Decay Rollergirl Palette includes 4 eye shadows (Woodstock, Verve, Suspect, and Darkhorse), 1 24/7 Glide-On Pencil (Whiskey), and a Lip Junkie (Crush)

Woodstock is a buildable fuchsia pink. It's also found in Urban Decay Fun Palette.
Verve is pale, shimmery taupe. This is an exclusive shade for this palette.
Best for highlighting the brow bone and inner corner of the eyes.
Suspect is a champagne gold shadow, best applied all over the lid.
Darkhorse is a dark bronze-y shade perfect for defining the outer V or for creating smokey eyes.

The textures of these eye shadows are perfect. They are highly pigmented and velvety-smooth.
No glittery shadows too, so I love it. :)

The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide0On Eye Pencil is in the shade Whiskey.
This is my favorite brown eye liner. It's so much better than the black one (
Zero).

The Lip Junkie that came with this palette is in the shade Crush.
It's a tinted gloss (medium pink) that claims it plumps the lips.
It tingled a little bit, but I don't think it really plumped my lips.
Maybe it's the mint ingredient that did it (I am not really sure).
I really don't use it since I'm more of  a lipstick girl.

All in all, I love this palette. Everything is wearable and could go from day to night. I also love the eye pencil that came with the set. The lip junkie? I can live without. I only wish it has a matte shadow to balance out the frost and shimmer. But hey, it wouldn't be a rollergirl palette if it's not shimmery and frosty, right? ;)

PROS: high quality, wearable, and pigmented colors, awesome eyeliner, handy and light packaging (that comes with a built-in mirror!). Not a bad deal for a high-end brand.

CONS: a bit pricey. only available online.

VERDICT: 5 out of 5 CHILIS! Yes, it is a bit expensive, but for a set that includes this much product? It's worth it. (and it's URBAN DECAY!)
